English Well is...
English Well started with a group of people excited about meeting others from the neighbourhood and beyond through the English language.
The name, English Well, is not just because we all hope to 'speak English well' but also that the well (a place to get water) in Jesus' time was a gathering place for all peoples from all over with one common goal - to end their thirst.
Jesus said, “but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." - John 4:14 NIV Bible
We believe in building Jesus Christ-centered relationships with others. What that means is we want share the love and care that we have found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We are always happy to talk about why we would volunteer our time after work or school, coordinate logistics, and plan lessons all for free anytime.
